Why 250 GSM Microfiber?

Our Treasures of the Sea towel is crafted from 250 GSM (grams per square meter) microfiber, a material chosen for its exceptional softness, absorbency, and quick-drying properties. This specific weight ensures the towel feels substantial and plush against the skin, providing a luxurious feel without being overly heavy. Microfiber is also known for its durability and resistance to fading, meaning the vibrant artwork will remain vivid even after numerous washes and sun-drenched days. Its lightweight nature makes it an ideal companion for any aquatic outing, packing easily into beach bags and drying rapidly for your next adventure.

The Artist behind the art

Poopikat - Kate Pellerin

Kate Pellerin is a bilingual Canadian illustrator. During her childhood, she would often take long road trips with her parents between Ontario and Québec.

To pass the time during these trips, she would frequently imagine her own crazy stories filled with fantastic creatures and magic as if it were happening live outside of the car window. Because of her active imagination, Kate enjoys drawing whimsical and adventure-filled stories for children.

Kate studied for three years at the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) and also completed a Diploma at Seneca College for the Illustration program, specializing in children's illustrations. Currently, Kate is an instructor at Seneca Polytechnic, who also does freelance illustration work on the days she isn't teaching.
